Alright alright, FIRST let me come clean, these are not my models, BUT THEY ARE MY DESIGNS :) but purely the template for the product ill be ordering, but the photos just happen to be close to what I envision for the line!

The support and the amount and QUALITY of the people who have shown interest in Cocky Laundry in this SHORT period of time is SO overwhelming! A group by the name of PSEG even tweeted @CockyLandry on twitter asking for a REP. from the brand to contact them! Ive even gotten a few calls from very prominent people in the Washington DC area who are very excited about the brand, not to mention my DM's, BBM's and Inbox are blowing up with people interested in helping produce fashion shows, model and starting other branches of the brand! It is A LOT very fast, but this is what I LIVE for!

Cocky Laundry!! Dec 6th 2010!

This is only part 1 of my vision. Rough very rough, but believe that there is a greater idea and prospect behind Cocky Laundry. Ive been inspired by so many young entrepreneurs at my school and in my age range period lately, that i have come to resent those who aren't about business. Whoever called our generation lazy hasn't looked far enough! So I figured the ambition combined with my love of making money, feign for the spotlight, and love of fashion could be combined to create a company, and not only that but give back to the community. etc.



With that said, Ive somehow convinced...or otherwise threatened by younger sister (Brooke Caison, Aerospace Engineering Freshman at Hampton University) to go into business with me on a clothing Line we eventually named 'Cocky Laundry'.

Yes there is a vision, however it can stand to be perfected. We plan on pursuing photo-shoots, events, fashion shows, volunteer work, blogging etc. We have rough drafts in the works and hope to release somewhat of a line by Summer '11! Using our connects we plan to expand quickly, by giving out free goods for them to wear from the brand etc.


The vision is modern/urban/classy/grunge..if those things can be combined, we will find out soon. This is experimental for the moments but with parents and stepparents owning multiple businesses we were born business people. This will be interesting and hopefully before all it will be a fun project, with the potential to grow big. Here is some of what were thinking to start.

VARIOUS INSUNDRIES !! Nov. 16th 2010!

Okay so i know I havent posted in a while, but once in a while you get that burst of energy, or perhaps a strong movement or significant event that occurs in your life that almost forces you to share! Not everything will fit in a facebook status and until I put myself through the torture of re-creating my long-lost twitter page...my blog is the perfect spot to
a.) brag about the awesomness that IS my life & also the low-points.
b.) Spill thoughts to keep me sane &
c.) Help remind my self why to stay driven and ambitious because I often lose track of that.

okay blahh besides that rambling intro (which by-the-by, is exactly how that all went in my head) Ill start sharing the actual inspiration for the click of these keys!

So a few months ago I had an epiphany! I know, I know corny right, but I literally woke up one morning and felt that my calling in life was being missed ( I know shut up right, im only 20) but seriously ...maybe im just not one of those people who is satisfied with being the typical partying teenager ( although IM SURE the majority of my peers perceive me that way).

After waking up that morning I decided i was tired of my potential not being reached.... So I decided I need to transfer schools an start over in a productive environment... an environment where young black people all around me were about something, were grinding, were making moves and not sitting on their butts..and even more over to BE one of those people, a place where i could win titles, hold positions... make a difference (cheesy I know) and Be somebody,.....I'm sounding like an army commercial but again im Oh-so serious...A place where I could start to be the ADULT i want to be....A place called Howard University. Pretty much the definition of black prestige...I felt like I had to prove a point, a big point...not only to others..but mostly to myself. (this was a few weeks ago)

Fast forward to today the Howard plan is still a go, parents supportive and all plus I miss my city.

Finding that being a part of something helps my self- esteem tremendously! So i will forever join groups. lol.

Which leads me to my inspiration for blogging for the first time in months.... today after a long day of class and work I made it a point to make it to an interest meeting that is getting started at my school for Young Entrepreneurs Parlay! I feel like it will be such a good opportunity for me seeing as how the group is small right now and i have the opportunity to apply for the Vice- President, Secretary, or Treasurer positions!

I dont know if im a born leader or if having a title just makes me feel good, but ive always been a big contributor to whatever im a part of!



Exciting things aside---I will have to discipline myself to surround myself with the right people and protect my reputation on the good ol' web. With good opportunity comes responsibility ...Ive always felt more mature than most my age buuuuuut I guess its time to grow up even further because its quite serious how much employers peep your page...

WE MADE IT-Seventeen March Issue

You cant imagine the notariaty and positive feedback we've received! shout out ot my Loves Alicia and Ash. Chris 'Blaqstar' Qwarshie our photographer, Jamaal Griffin, Derrick Milton, Liz Perle and Anthony Milton! Its small but its just the first step! Look out for out 3rd photoshoot this month, this one we will try to publish in the Forever 21 catalog, since they are really stepping up! And of course im working on getting this internship with Liz Perle of Seventeen or Hearst Company Publishers for the summer in NY! wish me luck!

For Breast Cancer awareness All girls On Facebook have been instructed to make their status the color of the bra..in appreciation of those stricken with Cancer....it should be fun to keep the guys guessing! lol however my good friend troy who has taken notice, has taken it upon himself (not knowing the meaning) to make his status green, meaning he has a green bra on..oh little does he know lol I think this is s super sweet idea! and Mine right now says "red"

Our Seventeen Magazine Shoot. Thats me with the scarf in the 1st shots. We didnt know what would come of these shots, but after doing a shoot for fun around our campus, I took it upon myself to e-mail the pictures to Seventeen magazines Liz Perle, who claimed she loved them and immediate wanted us to shoot another shoot to be published in a future issue. She e-mailed me early in the morning and wanted a new spread by the END of the day, HOWEVER COMMA we pulled it together and sent her some more shots, which again...SHE LOVED! Keep you guys updated on the exact issue!

Okay So you should know Im def not one to cook, but Grill Kabob in Tysons corner is the only food I would ever..possibly try to imitate in my own kitchen. Their Indian food (my favorite) has the best Butter Chicken and Naan Bread Ive ever had! yummyyyyy!!

SN: Twilight =my obsession besides Mermaids....coming up sometime this week I may get a Nikon Cam the legit kind so I can actually Photograph this stuff myself....Oh and my DAILY OUTFITS...so you guys can keep me in check and MAKE SURE I dress to par and not slackin on any days :p

Semester S-Ass

High five for my recent standout fashion at ODU!....NOT!....."The only rule is don't be boring and dress cute wherever you go. Life is too short to blend in."
Paris Hilton-- and she could not have said it better. To quite frank with you, im tired of looking at other chicks on campus LOVING their outfits and never being bold enough to dress that way....but what am I scared of..? After this break I decided there is no reason, that I should not be that girl! Dont get me wrong i've never not dressed, i suppose it's rather I' always follow one trend, ya know the gay trends that catch in your state super late behind hollywood..like belts at the waste and etc. well This semester my wardrobe is full of Sass and Im calling on my number one Style Icon Goddess Rihanna. Blazers, hats, leggings, heels, super big jewelry and crazy patterns. Dear Rhianna Goddess please give me the power :) lol on a serious note here is what from my P.O.V we should all be checking for in Spring!
